Troubled aircraft AirAsia Arab Purpose Return to Malaysia

AirAsia X said a route distance plane Malaysia-Saudi Arabia was forced to return to Kuala Lumpur shortly after takeoff due to technical problems, Sunday (8/2).

The plane was circling it for a few hours before landing safely in Kuala Lumpur.

AirAsia X is a low-cost carrier AirAsia subsidiary that specializes in serving the remote.

AirAsia Chief Executive Kamarudin Meranun said the damage occurred in the auto-thrust system 45 minutes after takeoff. The pilot then switch to manual thrust and actually get on the flight, but decided to go back because it is still very beginning of the flight plan 10 hours to Jeddah, he said.

Airbus A330 aircraft circling over four hours on the waterway to reduce fuel and prevent the risk of a hard landing, said Kamarudin.

The passengers were transferred to another aircraft which departed on the same day.
