As the name implies, they are criminals who kill for the sake of earning money. Sometimes they work on their own.

However, some others become part of a criminal organization or gangsters. They get paid after completing the 'work' it receives.

Here is a list of the most sadistic assassin who never revealed. The assassin in this list mostly operated from the 1920s until the 1930s, even from relatively new, 1980s.

"Sammy the Bull" Gravano
"Sammy the Bull" Gravano was a ruthless assassin who tear down John Gotti and the Gambino Mafia families in New York.

Gravano worked his way up through the organization under Joe Colombo to do a lot of killing. After strong enough and got a reputation, Gravano later joined the Gambino family and working in the trucking business and construction.

In 1990, he was arrested and family betrayed his boss (John Gotti). He detailed his involvement in at least 19 murders. Gravano got sentenced to one year in prison for his crimes.

Frank Abbandando
Frank Abbandando is a member of the group hitman nicknamed Murder, Inc. He is an assassin who is responsible for 30 or more murders.

Most of the victims were killed using ice or knife meat hook. In addition to being a killer, Abbandando accused rapist.

He was also part of one of the crimes Murder, Inc. The most famous: buried alive victims. He was finally caught in 1940.

Although threatened the judge during the trial, he was sentenced to death in the electric chair and died in 1942.

Harry "Pittsburgh Phil" Strauss

Thomas Pitera got his nickname because of his obsession with Tommy Karate martial arts and fighting skills. But he's more use of the tool in the mission.

Responsible for 60 murders in the 1980s, Pitera known to mutilate his victims after killing them.

He then added pieces of the victim's body in a suitcase (to eliminate traces of police dogs).

He chose to kill drug dealers, taking their stuff and sell it. For drug charges and was involved in many killings that ultimately landed him in prison in the 1990s. Pitera is currently serving a life sentence in Pennsylvania.

Roy DeMeo
Roy DeMeo led a group that works exclusively for the Gambino crime families during the 70s and 80s.

Believed to be responsible for 200 murders, gang have found a method of eliminating evidence of murder known as the 'Gemini Method'.

In its action, DeMeo will close the victim's head, shot and then stabbed. The body is then dried in the bathtub (inverted) for blood. Then the body will be cut into pieces and sent to landfills in Brooklyn.

In 1982, the FBI managed to dismantle the group DeMeo. Roy DeMeo's body was found in 1983, he had been killed.
